Community members told Africa Daily Newspaper that Jackson was reported missing in the early hours of Thursday, Dec. 11, 2025, at about 2 a.m. Her body was discovered the following morning.

Officers from the Suakoko Police Depot, accompanied by community residents, responded to the scene and constituted a 15-member jury to conduct a preliminary examination of the body. The jury included medical personnel, family members and community representatives.

According to the jury’s findings, no foul play was suspected. However, residents said the body was found undressed and bore inscriptions or markings, raising concerns within the community. The jury’s report was signed by Elijah Kerkulah, secretary of the jury, and approved by Cooper Jorker, president of the jury.

Police authorities said investigations remain ongoing and assured the public that updates would be provided as more information becomes available.

Jackson’s death has heightened fear and anxiety among residents, as family members and friends mourn her loss. Community members also expressed alarm over what they described as a growing pattern of mysterious deaths in Bong County, which they say continues to claim innocent lives.

In recent days, dozens of women in Suakoko staged a roadblock demanding justice for Jackson. Protesters and other residents said they do not accept the jury’s conclusions, arguing that the circumstances surrounding the discovery of her undressed body behind the graveyard warrant a thorough and transparent investigation.

Residents are calling on authorities to intensify efforts to uncover the truth and ensure justice for Ma Quita Jackson.
