ADNews-Monrovia,Liberia: Former Liberian  President George Manneh Weah has expressed profound sorrow over the death of renowned Liberian gospel musician and President of the Liberia Association of Gospel Musical Artists (LAGMA), Madam Miracle Kettor.
In a statement issued on Friday, July 24, 2026, the former Liberian leader extended his heartfelt condolences to the Kettor family, members of LAGMA, the Liberian music industry, and the Christian community following the gospel singer’s passing on Wednesday, July 22, 2026, at the John F. Kennedy Memorial Hospital in Monrovia.
Former President Weah described Madam Kettor’s death as a significant loss to Liberia’s gospel music sector and the nation as a whole.
According to him, the late gospel artist became a pillar of stability within the gospel music community following her historic election and subsequent re-election as President of LAGMA, where she served her first and second terms with distinction.
The former President praised Madam Kettor as a true patriot, a dedicated soul winner for Christ, and a strong advocate for social justice and humanity through her music ministry.
He noted that her years of service and contributions to LAGMA, Liberia’s gospel music industry, the Christian community, and society at large would continue to serve as a lasting testament to her commitment and legacy.
“Her longstanding contributions to the gospel music sector and the Christian community will remain a sobering reminder of her enduring impact on Liberia,” the statement said.
Former President Weah further expressed hope and prayers that the Kettor family, members of LAGMA, the Christian community, the gospel music industry, and Liberians across the country would find strength and comfort in God during this period of grief.
He called on all those affected by Madam Kettor’s passing to take solace in the Lord as they mourn the loss of one of Liberia’s most respected gospel artists.
