ADNews-Monrovia, Liberia:The Ministry of Education (MoE), through its Bureau of Early Childhood Education, has launched a countywide awareness campaign in Bomi County aimed at promoting the importance of early childhood education and encouraging parents to invest in quality learning opportunities for young children.

The campaign, held under the theme, “Every Child Deserves a Strong Start: Investing in Early Childhood Education, Investing in Liberia’s Future,” seeks to strengthen public understanding of the critical role early learning plays in shaping children’s future and advancing Liberia’s education sector.
Speaking at the launch, Assistant Minister for Early Childhood Education, Madam Fasam Howard-Nyensuah, said the initiative is intended to raise awareness among parents, caregivers, and communities about the value of providing children with a strong educational foundation.
“Every child deserves a strong start in life. When we invest in early childhood education, we are investing in Liberia’s future,” Madam Howard-Nyensuah said. “Our goal is to encourage parents and caregivers to prioritize quality early learning because it lays the foundation for lifelong success.”
She emphasized that early childhood education is essential for a child’s cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development.
“Children who receive quality early childhood education are better prepared for primary school, perform better academically, and grow into productive citizens who can contribute meaningfully to national development,” she added.
Also speaking at the event, Deputy Minister for Instruction, Hon. Amos Armah Fully, urged parents, teachers, community leaders, and development partners to support the campaign and work together to improve early learning across the county.
“Improving early childhood education is a shared responsibility,” Hon. Fully said. “It requires the collective efforts of families, schools, communities, and the government to ensure that every child has access to quality education from the very beginning.”
He encouraged all stakeholders to actively participate in the awareness activities, noting that stronger collaboration will help improve educational outcomes for Liberia’s youngest learners.
The Ministry of Education said the campaign forms part of its broader commitment to expanding access to quality education nationwide and ensuring that every Liberian child is given the opportunity to develop their full potential through a strong educational foundation.
