ADNews-Monrovia, Liberia: The Chief Executive Officer of the Magic Group of Companies Inc., Mamudu Saah Dabor, popularly known as Baba 2 Sweet, encourages Young people to take an active role in bringing positive change in society and financial support to aid them.

Speaking to abot 1000 youths on the theme, “Unlocking the Power Within: Empowering Liberia’s Youth for Sustainable Development,” at his National Youth Empowerment Summit held in Paynesville outside  Monrovia over the weekend,  Dabor urged the Liberian Youth to remain focused and courageous in driving positive change within their communities and across the nation. He emphasized the importance of unlocking their potential and creativity to contribute meaningfully to Liberia’s sustainable development goals.

His message struck a chord with attendees, inspiring many to believe in their abilities and to take initiative in tackling societal challenges. Dabor highlighted key pathways for youth involvement, including community service, entrepreneurship, and leadership, as critical tools for national transformation.

The summit served as a vibrant platform for young people to share ideas, learn from each other’s experiences, and collaborate on projects aimed at improving their communities.

“Liberia’s future lies in the hands of its youth,” Dabor said, calling on them to become catalysts for change.

In a move to further empower Liberians, especially entrepreneurs, Dabor also announced a personal investment of US$50,000 to support small business enterprises throughout the country. This initiative, he said, is aimed at fostering economic growth and resilience in a business sector still recovering from the shocks of recent global challenges.

“Small enterprises are the backbone of our economy,” Dabor stated. “By investing in them, we are investing in the future of Liberia.”

The funds will be directed toward providing critical resources such as training, mentorship, and financial support, with the goal of helping small businesses thrive in an increasingly competitive market. Dabor emphasized the need for collaboration within the business community and called on other stakeholders to join in supporting local entrepreneurs.

The announcement has been met with enthusiastic support from business leaders and organizations across Liberia. Many see it as a pivotal step toward building a more sustainable and inclusive economic environment.

As part of the initiative, Dabor plans to launch a series of workshops and networking events designed to equip entrepreneurs with practical tools for success. The business community has responded positively, expressing optimism that this effort will lead to increased innovation, job creation, and long-term economic stability.

Dabor’s pledge not only underscores his commitment to Liberia’s youth and small businesses but also signals a growing momentum among local leaders to invest in homegrown solutions for national development.
