ADNews-Bong County: Residents of Kpoe, a community in Panta District, Bong County, are calling on the National Government, as well as goodwill and humanitarian organizations, to come to their aid in reconstructing their only elementary school.
The Kpoe Elementary School, which serves over 100 students, was destroyed by a windstorm last year, leaving students without a proper learning facility.

According to one of the community elders, Jonathan George, efforts to rebuild the school have been hampered by financial constraints. They are now appealing for external assistance to get the school up and running again.
Mr. George stated that the lack of a school in the community has affected the education of their children.
“Since the school was destroyed, our children have been unable to attend classes. It breaks our hearts to see them missing their regular classes ,” he said.
The community members expressed concern about the future of the community without a school.
“I am worried about the future of our children.Without education, they will not have the skills needed to improve their lives and develop our community,” George emphasized.
The situation in Kpoe is not unique to many rural communities in Liberia, where lack of funding and resources have led to the closure of schools and limited access to education.
The citizens are now appealing to the government and humanitarian organizations to take action and help rebuild the Kpoe Elementary School.
They believe that with a proper learning facility, the children in their community will have a brighter future.
The government of Liberia has recently made education a top priority, with a goal to provide free and quality education to all children in the country.
They are however hoping that this commitment will extend to communities like Kpoe, where children are in need of proper learning facilities to achieve their full potential.
