ADNews- MOnrovia:The Green Revolution of Liberia lambasts  the Rescue Government of President Joseph Boakai  for what it terms as “gambling with the lives of the Liberian people by its officials receiving peanuts from a criminal cabal company bearing the name Western Cluster”

In a release, Green Revolution leader, Chairman Manja Varney Gbassey Kromah, disclosed that in June  2022,  the administration  of former President Weah entered a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Indian cabal operating in Africa under the nomenclature, Western Cluster limited to extract iron ore from the Bomi Hills through the influence of Senator Edwin Melvin Snow and former Minister of state now Senator of Margibi county, Nathaniel Fallo McGill at the detriment of the people they claimed to be working for.

According to him, the company couldn’t live up to its Mineral Development Agreement (MDA) signed under the leadership of former President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf, which was surreptitiously brought into the country under an MOU to supersede the MDA which is a law passed by the national legislature and approved by the president of the Republic of Liberia.

The Green Revolution Release further explains that “Our people who had thought that these sorts of back door deals were going to be corrected by their redeemers in the rescue mission, are now seen as greatly disappointed as officials of the rescue mission have joined the criminal cabal in the mineral industry to exploit its own people further.

“Today, president Boakai’s rescue government is now on record for playing on the intelligence of the people by using this fictitious and bogus deal to add millions to their personal bank accounts.

“The citizens had and continue to raise concerns regarding the transportation of the ore, as they witness hundreds of trucks belonging to Deputy Speaker Thomas Fallah, Senator Nathaniel Fallo McGill, Senator Saah Joseph, Senator Simeon B. Taylor Senator Prince Moye, former chief of  Protocol Finda Bundoo and former Pro Temp Albert Chie, endangering motorists, posing environmental risks, and further damaging the already dilapidated roads.

“The damage these trucks continue to cause the roads in Gbarpolu, Bomi and the freeway leading to the Freeport of Monrovia is been used by the rescue mission mostly the Minister of Public Works and the Minister of justice  to enrich themselves as  there strategy of  threatened to close or close and open Western Cluster Limited operations.

“Today, even  Sen. Snowe, who was part of the delegation that traveled to India to negotiate the comeback of Western Cluster Limited has now realized the danger and damage the company is causing the infrastructure and inhabitants of the  (Bomi) constituents.

“In a statement to frontpage Africa,  Sen. Snowe confessed that  “Western Cluster cannot continue to truck on the road. It is unacceptable. In their agreement with the government, they agreed to construct a railroad in three years. We are almost in year three and absolutely no sign of any railroad concerning the rail construction, I think they acted in bad faith and so we fully support the closure of Western Cluster.”

“Our disappointment is our perceived trusted ally the US government, are they telling us that the magnitsky sanctions were only targeting the Weah government and showing blind eyes to the masses for this disorganized and insensitive government just in her first eight months? Are they not seeing our suffering at the hands of this insensitive official of government? Are they not aware of these facts? The US needs to do better than what they are doing now.

“We call on the citizens of Gbapolu, Bomi, and Montserrado to rise up and stop Western Cluster from using the road in bringing their free Iron ore to Monrovia for exportation with practically no benefits to them”.
