ADNews-Margibi: Allegations linking Mr. Jeety, the current owner of Salala Rubber Corporation, to the incarceration of Mary Boimah and Lawrence Gborbor are both misleading and factually incorrect.
It is important to note that Mr. Jeety was not involved in the events surrounding the alleged attack that took place in June 2024. At the time of the incident, Mr. Jeety had not yet acquired the company. He purchased Salala Rubber Corporation in August 2024, several months after the alleged attack. Production under his leadership began in November 2024.
The legal case concerning Boimah and Gborbor was already in progress before Mr. Jeety’s acquisition of the company. The previous management had suffered significant losses and damages, which contributed to the ongoing legal proceedings.
Boimah and Gborbor, former union leaders, are accused of attacking and looting the company’s property. Since June 2024, they have been released on bond. However, due to delays in the trial, the insurance company that provided their bond withdrew its support, leading to the re-arrest of the accused.
The court has now re-arrested Boimah and Gborbor until they can secure a new criminal insurance bond. The damages attributed to their actions are estimated at USD 275,210. To secure the bond, this amount must be doubled to USD 550,420.
In light of these developments, it is crucial that individuals refrain from making personal accusations. Instead, they should allow the legal system to address the case impartially and ensure that justice is served.
