ADNews-Monrovia, Liberia: Orange Liberia has officially unveiled its new state-of-the-art headquarters, “Icon16,” a $10 million facility that symbolizes the company’s long-term commitment to innovation, national development, and customer service excellence in Liberia.
The grand inauguration ceremony, held under the theme “This is Home. The Future is Here,” marked a significant milestone for the telecommunications giant. Speaking at the event, Orange Liberia CEO Jean Marius Yao described Icon16 as more than just a corporate building—it is a beacon of vision and belief in Liberia’s future.

“This facility is not merely a structure. It embodies our vision and our confidence in Liberia’s potential,” Yao stated. “Icon16 stands as a world-class hub for innovation, collaboration, and growth. It is designed to uplift our teams and partners, while delivering outstanding experiences to our most valued assets—our employees and customers.”
In his keynote address, Yao outlined three core reasons behind the investment in the new headquarters. First, he said, Icon16 is a symbol, a bold declaration that Liberia is capable of hosting infrastructure that meets the highest international standards.
“It is a source of national pride, a place that says to every Liberian: Yes, it’s possible,” he said.
Secondly, the new facility reflects Orange’s long-term commitment to Liberia’s development and its alignment with Orange Group’s broader vision across Africa—to lead in digital transformation, foster sustainable innovation, and promote inclusive growth.
Thirdly, Yao emphasized that while Orange continues to invest heavily in network and digital infrastructure, its people remain the true drivers of progress.
Highlighting key features of the new headquarters, Yao said Icon16 offers more than aesthetics—it serves a meaningful purpose. The facility includes:
Collaborative workshop platforms and five digital meeting rooms
Liberia’s largest and most accessible Smart Store
A state-of-the-art boardroom and innovation showroom
A 170-seat auditorium
An on-site medical clinic and cafeteria
A wellness gym and rooftop terrace with panoramic views of Monrovia and the Atlantic Ocean.
The building, covered in 1,400 square meters of glass, was designed with eco-conscious principles, including LED lighting, accessibility features, and plans to be fully solar-powered.
Yao extended appreciation to the Government of Liberia and the relevant regulatory authorities for their ongoing support and trust.
John Stewart, Orange Liberia’s Human Resource Manager, also spoke at the event, describing the new building as a symbol of collective aspiration.
“This isn’t just a workplace. It’s a space that inspires excellence, fosters collaboration, and propels us toward our vision—to be Liberia’s preferred multi-service operator and a leader in digital, financial, energy, and social inclusion,” Stewart said.
He added that the facility is a tangible testament to the hard work and dedication of every member of the Orange Liberia and Orange Money Liberia teams.
Engineer Nader Ayoub, who led the building’s construction, shared that the facility was designed with a 100-year durability standard.
“The true power of this building is not in its walls—it lies in the people it serves,” Ayoub noted. “Clad in sleek, seamless glass and defined by modern architecture, Icon16 is the result of careful planning, local engagement, and world-class execution.”
As Orange Liberia moves into this new chapter, the company says Icon16 represents not just a modern headquarters, but a powerful symbol of what’s possible in Liberia’s future.
