ADNews-Monrovia,Liberia: The Gbarpolu County Senator, Amara Konneh, may immediately face investigation if guilty, may end up like the recently expelled  Montserrado  District #10 Lawmaker Yekeh Kolubah over his recent statement that exposes the national security information, which his Nimba County counterpart  Senator Nya Twayen sees as hypocrisy and an act of undermining the territorial integrity.

During the  Thursday, April 23, session,    Konneh hailed the power of the Guinean Army over Liberia Armed Forces, saying ” Guinean is stronger than us militarily, they have between 12 to 30,000 personnel the have seven aircraft, they have armor vehicles, they have the navy with force,” Konneh disclosed.  We are merely 2000 military.

Following Senator Konneh’ assertion,  Nimba County  Senator has immediately called for an investigation, saying ” Sen Amara Konneh gross disclosure of privileged National Security information intended for showboating worth investigation. Sen. Konneh Publicly praised the Guinean Army while belittling ours as if we all didn’t agree to act and keep it confidential; hypocrisy”.

The Liberia- Guinean border situation has become highly alarming since the Guinean Army cross over the Makona River in Soloubah, Lofa County, the hometown of Liberia’s President,  Joseph Nyuma Boakai, and took over a portion of land belonging to Liberia.

Negative comments in connection with this situation fueled and accelerated Yekeh’s expulsion from the 55th Legislative for what they believed was a threat to national security.

After Kolubah’s expulsion,  Konneh condemned the House’s action, calling it illegal, which may be considered as it’s based on his personal thoughts; he has come this far by disclosing the national security information publicly to test the weight of his colleagues too.
