ADNews-Monrovia, Liberia: The Political Leader of the People’s Liberation Party (PLP), Tappla Doe, has called on Liberians from all walks of life to join the party as it officially launches a nationwide membership drive aimed at strengthening its grassroots base and expanding its political reach.

Speaking during the launch, the PLP Political Leader emphasized that the PLP remains committed to advocating for good governance, social justice, accountability, and the protection of democratic values in Liberia.

He noted that the membership drive is not just about increasing numbers, but about building a movement of conscious and committed citizens who are ready to contribute meaningfully to national development.

According to him, Liberia’s current challenges, ranging from economic hardship and unemployment to weak institutions and governance deficits, require a new wave of political participation driven by integrity, patriotism, and people-centered leadership.

He stressed that the PLP offers a platform for ordinary Liberians, especially young people and women, to have a stronger voice in shaping the country’s future.

“The People’s Liberation Party belongs to the people. It is a party built on principles, not personalities, and on service, not self-interest,” Doe stated. “This membership drive is an invitation to Liberians who are tired of empty promises and are ready to work collectively for a better Liberia.”

He further encouraged citizens across the counties to organize at the community level, register as members, and actively engage in the party’s programs and policy discussions.

The PLP political leader also highlighted the party’s plans to roll out civic education, leadership training, and issue-based advocacy as part of its broader strategy to empower its members.

Party officials present at the launch described the membership drive as a critical step toward revitalizing the PLP ahead of future political engagements.

They noted that registration activities will be carried out nationwide, with special attention given to rural communities and first-time political participants.

As Liberia continues its democratic journey, the PLP says it is positioning itself as a credible alternative focused on transparency, inclusion, and national unity.

The party’s leadership believes that a strong and active membership base will be key to advancing its vision and influencing positive change across the country.
