Reports indicate that Kolleh utilized public funds to build his own home instead of addressing the urgent issue of poor roads in his district. This decision has sparked outrage among residents who struggle with inadequate infrastructure.
“We are deeply disappointed in our representative. Instead of allocating funds to repair our roads, he is focusing on constructing a luxurious house for himself. We elected him to serve our community, not his personal interests,” stated Mr. Jusu F. Paye, a resident of Bong County District #2.
The substandard road conditions have adversely impacted daily life in the district, complicating access to essential services and hindering local businesses.
In response to the backlash, Representative Kolleh defended his actions, describing the home construction as a necessary investment for his family’s future. He assured constituents that he intends to address the road repair issue but did not provide a specific timeline for when these repairs will commence.
The controversy has led to increased demands for accountability and transparency regarding the use of public funds by elected officials in Bong County. Citizens of District #2 are calling on Representative Kolleh to shift his focus back to the pressing needs of his district.
