Overhauling PUL to Restore Integrity

ADNews-Monrovia: In a significant push to advance journalistic integrity and media responsibility, the  President of Press Union of Liberia (PUL), Julius Kanubah will on  Tuesday, 18 March 2025, hold a press conference to release an official policy document to guide the professional registration, accreditation, and accountability of journalists, media, and communication practitioners as well as media institutions in Liberia.

The press conference will take place at the PUL Headquarters at Clay Street, Monrovia, at 10 am.

All journalists, media, and communication practitioners are invited to the launching ceremony of the official policy document, the first in the most recent history of the PUL.

At the press conference, the PUL will announce the official date for the commencement of the much-anticipated professional registration, accreditation, and accountability of journalists, media and communication practitioners as well as media institutions.

The PUL will also announce the key activities leading to and marking the celebrations of this year’s World Press Freedom Day, which will be occasioned by the mobilization of financial resources to offset an inherited debt of US$28,722 and to construct the Union’s Headquarters.
