Wolobah, a native of Zorzor District, also pledged an additional 50 bags of cement to be delivered in the coming days, fulfilling a 100-bag commitment he made to the group.
The donation was presented during Lorma Zuui’s anniversary celebration in Zorzor, which attracted government officials, traditional leaders and citizens from both Liberia and neighboring Guinea.
Speaking at the event, Wolobah described the contribution as a personal effort to support an institution he said is playing a meaningful role in promoting unity, capacity building and development among Lorma-speaking people across borders.
“This organization is contributing positively to national development and fostering cooperation among our people in Liberia and Guinea,” Wolobah said. “Supporting its growth is timely and worthwhile.”
Founded in Zorzor District, Lorma Zuui seeks to unite Lorma-speaking communities in Liberia and Guinea while advancing social cohesion and community development initiatives.
Wolobah praised the group’s current leadership, noting visible progress in strengthening unity among citizens of the district.
Residents attending the program welcomed the donation, describing it as a significant show of support from one of their own. Several community members commended Wolobah for responding to the organization’s request and expressed hope for continued assistance from other sons and daughters of the district.
In remarks following the presentation, Wolobah reaffirmed his commitment to supporting Lorma Zuui and its mission to promote unity among Lorma communities in Liberia and the subregion.
Members of the organization used the occasion to appeal to Lorma-speaking citizens at home and abroad to join hands in strengthening the group, emphasizing that the Lorma are among Liberia’s largest ethnic groups and should remain organized and development-focused.
