ADNews- Nimba County: The Jackson F. Doe Memorial Regional Referral Hospital in Tappita, Nimba County, received a major boost over the weekend with the arrival of a 40-foot container filled with medical supplies and equipment valued at over $200,000. The generous donation came from Northside Hospital, part of the Northside Network, and was facilitated by the hospital’s CEO, Dr. Victor Kaizer, following his successful lobbying efforts during a visit to the United States in November of last year.
The shipment included a wide range of critical medical equipment, such as patient monitors, ER examination tables, IV pumps, central line kits, surgical gowns, hospital beds, doctor’s office beds, gloves, and various other essential items. In addition, the hospital received a substantial supply of protective gear, biohazard bags, Clorox cleaning solutions, and COVID-19 testing kits. The shipment also contained essential office furniture, which is expected to enhance the hospital’s operational efficiency.
These contributions are expected to greatly improve the hospital’s ability to provide high-quality healthcare, especially in emergency response and surgical care. Hospital officials have expressed deep gratitude to Dr. Massoud and Northside Hospital for their generosity, highlighting the significant positive impact this donation will have on patient care and overall hospital operations.
The Jackson F. Doe Memorial Regional Referral Hospital stands as one of Liberia’s most advanced medical facilities, offering specialized healthcare services such as surgery, internal medicine, pediatrics, and radiology. As a major referral center, it serves patients not only from across Liberia but also from neighboring countries.
