ADNew- Monrovia: Agents of the Executive Protection Service, who were dismissed under Joseph Nyumah Boakai’s administration have unveiled a plan to destabilize the country’s fragile peace beginning Monday, August 5, this year following what they termed a prolonged delay by the government to address issues relating to their benefits.

The protest is reportedly being organized under the caption, “Kill one Kill All.”
A source within the corridor of the dismissed officers revealed to the press that the officers said they had been patient about taking radical action, since the New EPS Boss, Sam Gaye, decided to terminate their services but could no longer hold their peace.
Accordingly, over 100 dismissed officers, along with some ex-combatants gathered at the headquarters of the opposition Coalition for Democratic Change (CDC), in the late evening, Thursday, August 1, to strategize on how to carry out their plan protest.
Our source narrated that combatants spotted in the late-hour meeting were reportedly from various warrant factions and promised to lead the protest.
Our source names former ex-combatants, Gen. Varleethe Telleh, John Gapon, and Abraham Sehand among others as those who vowed to lead the protest along with the dismissed EPS Agents.
This latest planned action comes following a recent press conference held by CDC Political Leader George Manneh Weah.
Following President Weah’s Press Conference on Tuesday, July 30, some members of the CDC were held threatening to resist the ongoing prosecution of former officials caught in the audit hub.
In an interview with the media, former Model Rebel General, Wilson Zulu noted that the current proceeding of government is extremely wrong.
He said they, as members of the CDC have rights in Liberia, as such they should not be intimidated by dismissal and court prosecution.
He pointed out that the burden is therefore on President Boakai to correct what he sees as a mistake.
Former General Zulu however said, that if care is not taken it will lead to something else in Liberia.
“Let the government stop it. The power we give Unity Party, they don’t want to enjoy it, because they continue to embarrass us,” Former Model Rebel General Wilson Zulu stressed.
“The former EPS Agents and those who they arriving from jobs are all Liberians, you can’t move Liberians from because you say they are CDcians. I’m prepared to put my pen down and match to anywhere in this country because the people don’t want to listen,” Former General Zulu added.
President Weah himself stated in his recent press conference that the CDC will use all means available to resist the alleged attempt to “weaponize the country’s judicial system.”
“The Unity Party can be assured that the CDC will use all legal and political means at its disposal to resist this move to weaponize the country’s judicial system to its selfish advantage. Yes, Mr. Boakai, your action to politicize justice will be resisted strongly,” President Weah noted.
Similarly, our source noted that the ex-combatants have threatened, to strongly resist the government if the arrest of former government officials continues.
At the same time, our source within the corridor of the protest planners said, they have even planned to use any means available to them to resist security personnel who would dare to prevent them from carrying out their alleged action.
