ADNews- Bong County: Tension escalates in Bong County over the appointments of former Deputy Press Secretary, Smith Toby to head the media in the ongoing 2025 Counties Sports Meets and  Paul Sackie Wungko to chair the committee, as their Senator, Prince Kermue  Moye Sr. is being linked to the controversial appointments.

The former Deputy Press Secretary’s appointment by the Bong County Sports Steering Committee  been connected  to Moye’s alleged ongoing plan to employ him as his Radio Station manager in an effort to strengthen his political viability through media solidarity.

This decision has raised serious concerns regarding the transparency, inclusivity, and fairness of the selection process.

The County media Community is threatening to impose a media blackout over sports activities if the Sports Steering Committee fails to reconsider its decisions in the recent appointment made.

Investigation shows that Bong citizens are protesting against the duo due to incompetency and lack of cordiality.

Comments from many citizens indicate that Paul is an Agriculturist with zero knowledge of sports while Toby lacks what they term as cordial human relations with Bong citizens especially local journalists who are actively practicing and believe they are competent to handle such responsibility given to Smith.

Many local Journalists have characterized  Toby’s appointment as a complete disrespect to competent media professionals in the county which goes against the spirit of unity and collaboration that is crucial for the growth and development of the media.
