The Liberia Albino Society on Wednesday, July 24, 2024, puts smiles on the faces of its Members ahead of the July 26, independence day celebration.
The group in the wake of identifying with its members donated food and nonfood items to over fifty members, many of whom are children and youths.
The items, which include: Rice, Igo Oil, Onions, Salt bags, Sardines, cream, and sunglasses, among others, were presented to the happy members of the Liberia Albino Society.
According to the Chief Administrator, Clarence Clay, their gesture is an annual festive one intended to put smiles on the faces of their members.
Mr. Clay speaking to our reporter commended the Liberia Lotteries Authority for providing a portion of the items donated to LAS while the rest of the items were the institution’s personal initiative to its members.
In a joyous mood, beneficiaries thanked their parent body for what they described as a timely donation.
According to the parents of the Albino kids, the gesture is meaningful and will ensure that their kids will eat and celebrate the festive season very well.
“The sunglasses and the cream are also very important for our children, especially for protecting their skins and eyes, this is a very good donation “, they further emphasized.
The happy parents at the same time assured officials of the LAS that the food and nonfood items will be used for the direct beneficiaries.
“We also want to say a big thank you once more and we want them to do it continuously not only during the festive season”, they added.
With two days to the festive season, members of the Albino Society, especially children living with albinism now have all the reasons to celebrate in grand style, Liberia’s 177th Independence Day with food on their tables as well as essential items to them.
Meanwhile, the Executive Director of LAS, Patricia Logan, also presented clothes to over twenty kids as her personal Independence Day gift to them.
