ADNews-Monrovia,Liberia:A swift intervention by Sethi Brothers Corporation prevented the headquarters of Lonestar Cell MTN in Congo Town from suffering extensive damage after a fire broke out early Sunday morning, Nov. 16, 2025.
According to witnesses, the blaze threatened to destroy the telecommunications company’s facility before Sethi Brothers’ fire truck arrived and contained the flames.
The Liberia National Fire Service (LNFS) initially responded to the emergency but was unable to begin firefighting efforts because its engine failed to pump water. LNFS officers then requested backup support.
By the time additional LNFS units arrived, Sethi Brothers’ fire truck had already brought the fire under significant control, enabling government firefighters to continue operations and prevent further damage.
Authorities have not yet disclosed the cause of the fire. LNFS and Lonestar Cell MTN officials are expected to release details as investigations continue.
