ADNews-WASHINGTON, D.C: In a message commemorating Liberia’s 178th Independence Day, U.S. President Donald J. Trump extended warm greetings to President Joseph Nyuma Boakai and the Liberian people on behalf of the American people and the United States Government.
“It was a great honor to host you at the White Hous earlier this month, and I very much enjoyed our meeting,” President Trump wrote in the official message.
The message emphasized the longstanding ties between the United States and Liberia, rooted in shared values and mutual respect. “On this occasion, we are proud to reflect on our shared commitment to democracy, economic growth, and regional stability,” Trump stated. “We look forward to strengthening our partnership for the betterment of the United States and Liberia.”

Liberia, founded by freed African Americans, marks its Independence Day on July 26 each year. The historic and unique bond between the two nations continues to serve as a foundation for diplomatic and development efforts across West Africa.
