ADNews-Monrovia, Liberia:President Joseph Nyuma Boakai on Thursday, Jan. 15, 2026, paid an official visit to the Freeport of Monrovia, underscoring his administration’s push to translate policy into action under the government’s ARREST Agenda, which prioritizes accountability, economic revitalization and improved service delivery.
During the visit, Boakai inspected the Presidential Warehouse and made a brief stop at the corporate offices of the National Port Authority (NPA), signaling a hands-on approach to strengthening key institutions that support trade, revenue generation and national productivity.
The president was received by Sekou A.M. Dukuly, managing director of the NPA; James R. Bernard, deputy managing director for administration; and Emmanuel Horton, deputy managing director for operations.

The engagement highlighted the Freeport of Monrovia’s central role in advancing the ARREST Agenda through efficient port operations, transparent governance and enhanced service delivery. It also reaffirmed the NPA’s commitment to aligning ongoing reforms with the president’s vision for inclusive economic growth and national renewal.
