ADNews-Monrovia: Orange Liberia signed an official agreement with the Ministry of Youth and Sports (MoYS) to sponsor the 2024/ 2025 National County Sports Meet (NCSM) under the theme Compete, Empower, and Unite.
The signing ceremony was held at the Orange Liberia Headquarters on the Capitol Bye Pass on Tuesday, October 10, 2024.
Speaking at the program, Orange Director for Legal, Regulatory and Governmental Affairs, Cllr. Supu H. W. Cole, Sr. said, they are counting on MYS to make Orange banners visible during the tournament as agreed upon in the contract.
According to him, they are hoping to see a more successful County Meet year than ever before.
“We hope to work with you closely to make sure our advertisements are secure at various points during the county meet” Cllr. Cole emphasized.
Meanwhile, Orange Liberia’s Communication Manager, Mabel Mabson disclosed that Orange-Liberia uses Football as a key pillar in achieving Orange Liberia’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR). “Liberia’s commitment towards 2024-2025 County Meet; ORANGE Liberia committed to providing $45, 000USD, 6 high-end phones to the organizer, 36 smartphones for the player of the match, monthly bundle of 50 USD to 10 designated officials of the Ministry for the period of 12 months and 200 branded T-shirts.” She stated.
In a special remark, the Youths and Sports Minister, Cllr. Jeror Cole Bangalu Hails Orange for their tireless efforts in improving the local sports saying that the name Orange Liberia is associated with Football by extension sport. He promised to uphold every element of the agreement to build a vibrant collaboration with Orange Liberia.
” With our 2024/2025 NCSM Theme, Inclusive Development Through Sports. Even though I am just a nine-month-old Minister, I have been following the name Orange in Liberia’s Sports sector.
“From the Ministry, we want to say thank you for the confidence you continue to repose in us
“Because of the County meets, short-term jobs are created, all the players are hired and other youths can find something to settle their domestic problems.
“Your contribution to sports development building the youth capacities and contributing to national development agendas,” Minister Cole asserted.
