ADNews-Monrovia: The National Elections Commission of Liberia – (NEC) has clarified social media posts insinuating that the Commission was ordered closed for the month of December 2024.
NEC – Liberia describes such report as wrong information intended to mislead its workers and the public.
The Commission in a brief statement on Monday, December 2, 2024, mandates all of its staff to immediately report to work beginning Tuesday, 3 December 2024 until further notice.
NEC – Liberia says the Christmas and New Year break will be announced in due course using the appropriate and relevant administrative channels.
The statement further urges all NEC employees to continue to be dutiful and respectful in their respective assigned roles.
