MFDP Delegation Concludes Mission to China on Fiscal and Tax Management

ADNews-Monrovia: Five staff of the Ministry of Finance and Development Planning (MFDP), with support from the Chinese Embassy in Monrovia, have completed a seminar in the People’s Republic of China.

The delegation attended a pivotal seminar on “Fiscal and Tax Management for the Belt and Road Initiative.”

The delegation, headed by Mr. Tony N. Tugbe, included Mr. Alphonso B. Jolo, Mr. Kupee S. Washington Jr., Mr. Daniel Johnson, and Mr. Sam F. Lamin Jr.

Their participation reflects Liberia’s commitment to enhancing its fiscal policies and effectively engaging with international partners.

During their time in China, the delegation gained valuable insights into best practices in fiscal management, which are essential for leveraging the opportunities presented by the Belt and Road Initiative.

This mission not only strengthens Liberia’s fiscal capacity but also fosters closer ties with our Chinese counterparts.

“We are grateful for the support provided by the Chinese Embassy, which has enabled us to enhance our capacity in fiscal and tax management,” stated Mr. Tugbe.

“The knowledge gained during this seminar will be instrumental in driving our development agenda forward.”

The MFDP remains committed to fostering international cooperation and enhancing the skills of its personnel to improve governance and economic management in Liberia.
