ADNews-Monrovia: The Founder and Leader of the Liberia Young Leaders Alliance (LYLA ), Mr. Franklin Amoh Kemokai has expressed profound concern over the current geopolitical landscape unfolding, particularly regarding the alignment of certain African nations with Western powers in their dealings with Captain Ibrahim Traoré, President of Burkina Faso.

Below is his  Letter Written to H.E. President Alassane Ouattara and the  Citizens of Ivory Coast.

I write to you on behalf of the youth, women, and young leaders of Liberia, under the banner of the Liberia Young Leaders Alliance, to express a profound concern that resonates across the continent of Africa. We are watching closely as the current geopolitical landscape unfolds, particularly regarding the alignment of certain African nations with Western powers in their dealings with Captain Ibrahim Traoré, President of Burkina Faso.

It has become increasingly evident that the West seeks to instrumentalize our own African nations, including the Ivory Coast, as pawns in a strategy aimed at undermining a leader who is not only committed to the sovereignty of Burkina Faso but is also an emblem of hope for a united Africa. We urge you, the leaders of Côte d’Ivoire, to reflect deeply on the implications of these actions. Why would we allow ourselves to be used against a leader striving to liberate and unify Africa?

Let it be known that Captain Ibrahim Traoré is not merely the president of Burkina Faso, but a beacon of potential for the United States of Africa that we all desire. We, the youth of Liberia, stand resolutely with him in the fight for a brighter and more unified future for our continent. We are calling on all African leaders, mothers, fathers, boys, and girls to rally together in this noble struggle.

The time has come for Africa to unite decisively. We are ready to contribute our efforts — our blood, our sweat, our voices — to this imperative cause. Any attempt by an African nation to withdraw from this essential struggle will be met with serious resistance from the youth of Africa, who are determined to uphold the fight for our collective future.

As we extend our solidarity and support to Captain Ibrahim Traoré, we implore other African nations to refrain from being instruments of oppression yet again, as so many have been, whether overtly or subtly, by Western interests. The truth remains that for too long, Africa has endured suffering at the hands of outsiders who exploit our resources for their gains while leaving us diminished. We must draw a line in the sand and declare: No more!

We have preserved our heritage, and we are determined to protect our resources. These riches belong to Africa and our future. We cannot continue to allow external forces to exploit our continent. We will no longer tolerate the legacy of modern-day slavery that continues to haunt us through systemic exploitation and suppression.

We also encourage our brothers and sisters residing abroad to join us in this crucial struggle for a united Africa. We invite President Ibrahim Traoré to visit Liberia and engage with our youth, sharing in the vision and hope for a prosperous and united continent.

In closing, let us all remember that true friendship cannot be rooted in ulterior motives and exploitation. The only reliable alliances are those built on mutual respect and shared aspirations for development and freedom. Let us stand together, resolute in our commitment to defend our continent against any threat of subjugation and to reclaim our place in the global arena as one united African people.

With unwavering solidarity,  Mr. Franklin Amoh Kemokai
