The Central Command of the Green Revolution of Liberia said it’s troubled by the unhealthy working conditions at the NATIONAL IDENTIFICATION REGISTRY (NIR) created by the Secretary General of the National Patriotic Party (NPP), Mr. Andrew Peters.

But Peters termed the information as false and misleading, challenging them to provide proof of their claim.

“We were aware that a few months to the collapse of the Weah tyranny regime,  he unilaterally appointed Rt. Rebel Brigadier General Andrew Peters as Director General of the NIR without following the laydown procedures where the board which is to be chaired by the Minister of Internal Affairs, co-chair by the head of LISGIS, MoH, NASSCORP, and justice minister and subsequently recommendations are been made to the president for consideration. Rt former rebel Brigadier General Andrew Peters never went through this procedure so why is him still holding on the issues of tenure when on fact his being there was unlawful,” Green Revolution Chairman  Varney Kromah  emphasized.

According to Chairman Varney, Mr. Peters has terminated the employment of over 24 Liberians without any justification and subsequently replaced them with his biological family members which clearly violates the revised 2022 code of conduct for public officials under the nepotism clause.

The Green Revolution names Theophilus Geekor, Mohamed Kanneh, Pargee Gowar,Lovetee Tugbeh, Janice Blawah, Antoinette Nagbe , Lassana Siryon, Abraham M. Swaray, Wade Wilson, Etta Joe, Faith bah, Marfin Farhborde, Williamson Boakai, Patrick Nyenewah Jasper, Joseph Cheechea,Cephus Quiah Emmanuel Othello Johnson and Bobby Peal as those fired.

Naming the relatives hired to replace those fired, the Green Revolution Movement names Jimmy Tobey Chief of Office Staff with a salary  of USD 1700  who  they accused of being NPP youth wing chair and also worked at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA), Thierry Nagbo–Director Of Operation—$1200 personal driver and relative from Rivercess, Emmanuel G Dayougar Nephew – Procurement Tracking Officer—-$700, Roland P Sakpa—-Cashier—-$500 nephew, Jackson Peters- Brother, Melvin Cole –Nephew, Alex D Varmore relative from Rivercess, Patrick Z Cooper-nephew, Abraham C Quehn relative from Rivercess  and  also working with Forestry Development Authority (FDA),  Andrew D Greene relative from Rivercess, Moses B. Kpelleh- Relative from Rivercess and  J. Harris Peters bro

Also, the group maintained that the entity previously had three drivers without vehicles While Mr. Peters has employed addition four drivers for one car who are believed to be his family members.

“During the just-ended campaign, Rt Rebel Brigadier General Andrew Peters was the NPP Campaign chairman of the Coalition for Democratic Change thereby violating the art that created the NIR which clearly states that no employee of NIR should involved with political activities so as to save the sanity of confidential information of people they are dealing with. RT rebel Brigadier General Andrew Peters also so violated the code of conduct by using government time, resources, and equipment in campaigning in RiverCess County with no fear of the laws. So why is he still at that place?

“The National Identification Registry is a complete mess right now under RT rebel Brigadier General Andrew Peters and as such, we are calling on the office of H E. President Joseph Nyumah Boakai Sr. to place this former killer on time for indefinite suspension without pay why GAC conducted a comprehensive audit of that institution as to revenue collected on his reign,” Chairman of the Green Revolution Movement  Concluded.

Responding to the Green Revolution allegations, the NIR boss denied dismissing any employer but vowed not to dignify  Green Revolution’s claim about him employing relatives at the Agency.

“I have never suspended or dismissed any employee or contractor. I  Challenge them to provide any documentation showing that employees were dismissed or suspended under my watch as an Executive Director of NIR.

“I have never been a soldier before and least to talk about being retired. As regards my appointment at the registry, the same was done by the board contrary to his claim. The supreme Court options are available for your reference.,” Mr. Peters asserted.

Providing details on claims that employees or contractors were dismissed under his watch, he explained that those listed by Green Revolution were hired for three months in early 2023, and their contracts elapsed on 19, 2023    under his predecessor, Mr. Zeze Reed prior to his appointment in June 22  followed by his induction into office on June 26, 2023.

At the same time, NIR Boss has threatened to take a legal action against the Green Revolution Movement for alleged reputational damage.

He said, “after several consultations with my family, I have instructed my lawyers to file a lawsuit against the group. It can be recalled that something similar happened to former Agriculture Minister, Cris Toe and the court decided said matter. We have to make this country civil by using the law to stop people from been used by other for political reasons to damage others hard earned character.

Additionally,  I was never appointed as CDC campaign manager for Rivercess county. Former Senator Dallas A.V. Gueh  was named as campaign manager  for Rivercess county. As for my current status in the NPP mentioned in his statement, the same is also  not true. Consistent with the NPP constitution under successor clause, when the officer is incapacitated, the vice  officer immediately assumes the duty and function of such an officer pending elections. In the case of me and my assistant secretary for administration being incapacitated as a result of our position in Government, the party’s assistant secretary general for mobilization and recruitment, Mr. Bolton Dennis is currently serving as acting Secretary general for the NPP pending elections.”
