China Human Resources Program Trainees Commended for Supporting Liberia’s Development

ADNews-Monrovia,Liberia: Chinese Ambassador to Liberia  H.E Yin Chengwu has urged Liberian beneficiaries of China’s human resources development programs to use the knowledge and skills acquired from their training to contribute meaningfully to Liberia’s national development.

Ambassador Yin made the call on Wednesday, August 12, 2026, when he hosted a reception in Monrovia for Liberian participants of China’s human resources training programs.
The reception brought together more than 100 guests, including Unity Party National Chairman Hon. Dr. J. Luther Tarpeh, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs  Dr. Ibrahim Nyei, and representatives of the training beneficiaries.
In his remarks, Ambassador Yin described China’s human resources development program as an important driver of shared development and a valuable avenue for strengthening people-to-people exchanges between China and Liberia.
He said the program also represents an important measure in advancing the Global Development Initiative and promoting the building of a community with a shared future for humanity.
According to Ambassador Yin, China has over the years provided training opportunities for numerous Liberians in different professional fields, contributing to the country’s human resource development.
He encouraged the trainees to take their studies seriously and put the knowledge and skills gained from the programs into practical use for the benefit of Liberia.
Ambassador Yin also called on the beneficiaries to serve as ambassadors of friendship between China and Liberia by strengthening mutual understanding and cooperation between the two countries.
For his part, Unity Party National Chairman Dr. J. Luther Tarpeh praised China for its longstanding support to Liberia’s capacity-building efforts.
Chairman Tarpeh expressed appreciation for the various training opportunities provided by the Chinese government, noting that the programs have created valuable opportunities for Liberians to gain knowledge and learn from China’s development experience.
Deputy Foreign Minister Dr. Ibrahim Nyei also commended China’s continued partnership with Liberia, particularly in the area of human resource development.
He reaffirmed Liberia’s commitment to the one-China principle while appreciating the opportunities China has provided for Liberian professionals through its training programs.
Representatives of the trainees expressed gratitude to the Chinese government for providing them with opportunities to enhance their professional knowledge and skills.
They pledged to apply what they had learned to their respective areas of work and make practical contributions toward Liberia’s development.
The reception underscored the growing people-to-people exchanges between Liberia and China, with both sides highlighting human resource development as an important area of bilateral cooperation.
