The hospital, which serves as the primary medical center for the county, has become a source of increasing health hazards rather than a place for healing. Many patients and visitors have voiced their dissatisfaction with the lack of basic sanitation, which has been a growing issue for those seeking care.

Mary Kollie, a local resident, expressed her frustration with the facility’s conditions, saying, “The hospital is supposed to be a clean and healthy environment, but the state of the latrine is a major concern. It’s dirty, and there is no proper water supply for flushing.”

James Johnson, another resident, also criticized the hospital administration for neglecting the maintenance of the latrine. “The hospital should ensure that the latrine is cleaned and maintained regularly. It’s not just for the patients, but also for the staff and visitors,” he stated.

Residents are now calling on the hospital management to take immediate action to address the sanitation challenges it is facing. They emphasize that the lack of proper sanitation could lead to the spread of diseases and pose a serious threat to the health of the local community.

The citizens of Gbarnga are hopeful that the hospital administration will swiftly implement changes to improve the sanitation facilities, ensuring a cleaner, safer environment for all who rely on the hospital’s services.
