ADNews-Monrovia, Liberia: The United States has reaffirmed its commitment to supporting Liberia’s efforts to strengthen its security and legal institutions, stressing that a just and accountable justice system is essential to Liberia’s stability and the wider West African region.
U.S. Embassy Chargé d’Affaires Joe Zadrozny made the reaffirmation during a meeting with Liberia National Police Inspector General Gregory O.W. Coleman and Executive Protection Service Director Sam Gaye.
According to the U.S. Embassy, the meeting focused on the continued partnership between the United States and Liberia, particularly in strengthening the country’s security institutions and advancing law and order.
Chargé d’Affaires Zadrozny emphasized that the United States stands firmly with its Liberian partners as the country continues efforts to build stronger security and legal institutions.
He noted that a just and accountable legal system is not only beneficial to Liberia but also contributes to regional stability and strengthens the long-standing relationship between Liberia and the United States.
The U.S. diplomat further reaffirmed Washington’s continued partnership with the Government and people of Liberia, saying the United States remains committed to supporting initiatives aimed at improving security and promoting prosperity in both countries.
The engagement comes as Liberia continues to work with international partners to strengthen its security institutions, improve the rule of law, and enhance national stability.
The United States said it looks forward to broadening its collaboration with Liberia through initiatives that promote security, institutional development, and the shared prosperity of both nations.
