U.S. Embassy Delegation Tours Buchanan Port

ADNews-Monrovia, Liberia: The National Port Authority (NPA) received the United States Embassy delegation at the Port of Buchanan on February 18, 2026, for a strategic tour focused on investment readiness and operational stability.
According to NPA press release, the delegation, led by U.S. Embassy Chargé d’Affaires Joseph Zadrozny, toured the facility alongside Ivanhoe Atlantic Country Manager Henrique Caine and Vice President for Business Development and Strategy, Mr. Joe Mcdonald.
Chargé d’Affaires Zadrozny commended the NPA and Port Management for sustaining port operations and fostering an environment that enables trade and investment.
Mr. Caine lauded the leadership of Managing Director Sekou A. M. Dukuly for maintaining a constructive working relationship with Ivanhoe Atlantic and highlighted key pre-operational developments pending final regulatory approvals.
The Port Director also briefed the delegation on operational matters, including coastal erosion affecting sections of the pier, and underscored the importance of continued collaboration to strengthen infrastructure resilience and advance the long-term growth of the Port of Buchanan.
