ADNews-Monrovia,Liberia:  Former Liberian President and political leader of the main opposition Coalition for Democratic Change (CDC)George Manneh Weah, on Sunday bestowed high honors on Reverend Mrs. Dialokai Golanyon-Kemayah, who served as Guest Speaker and Preacher during the party’s headquarters groundbreaking “Standing Ovation” Thanksgiving Service.

The service was held at the Forky Klon Church along the Roberts International Airport Highway in Paynesville on October 19, 2025, bringing together senior CDC members, lawmakers, and allies of the opposition Movement for Economic Empowerment (MOVEE).

Introducing Rev. Mrs. Kemayah, former President Weah described her as “a wonderful, kind, astute, calm, respectful, diligent, and limitless mother.”

“Distinguished ladies and gentlemen, given what happened to our party headquarters, this groundbreaking is a special moment,” Weah said. “We were looking for a special person, not just a pastor, but someone who could preach the word of thanksgiving. Someone wonderful and godly who could take us from 380 and land us at the airport of RIA.”

He continued, “Through many voices, we found that special person¸, calm, respectful, diligent, and full of grace,  Mrs. Reverend Dialokai Golanyon-Kemayah, a professional nurse and ordained pastor, currently serving at Providence Baptist Church on Broad, Center, and Ashmun Streets in Monrovia.”

Rev. Mrs. Kemayah’s Message: Rebuilding in the Midst of Adversity

Taking the pulpit, Rev. Mrs. Kemayah opened her sermon by expressing gratitude to the former President, his wife, Madam Clar Marie Weah, her husband, Ambassador Dee-Maxwell Saah Kemayah Sr., church leaders, and the congregation.Kemayah

“Praise the Lord! Your Excellency, Dr. George Manneh Weah, Political Leader of the CDC and Former President of the Republic of Liberia, thank you for the invitation. Her Excellency, Madam Clar Weah, thank you,” she said. “To my forever loving husband, Deacon Ambassador Dee-Maxwell Saah Kemayah Sr., he’s my mentor, my strength, and my whole. I don’t call him my half because half is not complete. He’s a promise fulfilled by God. By His grace, we are 27 years strong and still moving forward,” she added.

Rev.Mrs. Kemayah drew her sermon from Nehemiah 4:1–9, preaching on the theme “Rebuilding in the Midst of Adversity.”

“Yesterday was the groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of the new CDC headquarters, and today we gather to give praises to God,” she said, referencing Psalm 103:1–2: “Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all His benefits.”

She reminded the congregation that CDC had endured storms, hate, betrayal, and demolition, yet emerged stronger.

“Not all storms come to disrupt your life, some come to clear your path,” she noted. “Through every trial, CDC has risen better than before. When they said ‘the mighty has fallen,’ God said, ‘you shall rise.’”

Rebuilding Through Faith and Resilience

In her sermon, Rev. Mrs. Kemayah emphasized that rebuilding in the Bible represents both physical and spiritual restoration after destruction.

“Adversity tests a person’s strength, patience, and determination,” she said. “Rebuilding in the midst of adversity is not about waiting until the struggle is over, but building something new and stronger during the storm.”

Drawing parallels to the Book of Nehemiah, she explained how Nehemiah rebuilt Jerusalem’s wall despite opposition from Tobiah and Sanballat, remaining focused through prayer, unity, and perseverance.

“We all have our Tobiahs and Sanballats who criticize and plot against us,” she said. “But Nehemiah did not waste time on them, he prayed and kept working. Likewise, CDC must focus on God and continue the work ahead.”

She likened the party’s demolition and new construction to divine repositioning.

“The demolition was there to reposition,” she declared. “God has repositioned you, do not dance to the tune of those who mock you. Trust God, and He will direct your path.”

Internal Renewal and Unity

Rev.  Mrs. Kemayah also challenged CDC leaders to confront internal challenges, what she called the “rubbish” that must be cleared before true rebuilding can occur.

“The tribe of Judah said they were weak because the rubble was too much,” she said. “CDC, clear your rubbish , the rubbish of hate, undermining, and internal wrangling. Stop tearing each other apart.”

She urged unity, resilience, and renewed commitment to service.

“It is no longer what CDC can do for us, but what we can do for CDC,” she declared. “Some can offer land, others can bring a bag of cement or a block. Every contribution counts.”

Citing Winston Churchill, she added, “When there is no enemy within, the enemies outside cannot hurt you.”

Call to Action

Concluding her message, Rev. Mrs. Kemayah called on CDC members, sympathizers, and supporters worldwide to unite and rebuild.

“Rebuilding in the midst of adversity requires resilience to both external and internal challenges, and total reliance on God,” she said. “I challenge all CDCians and well-wishers to join hands and rebuild the wall of CDC. Long live CDC! Long live Liberia! God bless us all!”
