Dissolving MoT For Self Aggrandizement

ADNews-Monrovia, Liberia: The significant swift change in the transport sector between the Ministry of Transport (MoT) and Liberia Transport Management (LTM) is meant to benefit few individuals, including President Joseph Nyuma Boakai, Police Inspector General, Gregory O.W.Coleman, and other hierarchy at the detriment of the nation.
LTM is opting to generate over $225M United States Dollars within their alleged 25-year contract agreement, leaving Liberia with just $40M.
The company and its cartel, with Gregory playing the major role, will benefit $180M clandestinely under their bogus agreement, sharing among themselves, leaving the country and its people poor and more.
This agreement is not only detrimental to the national coffers but also creates huge unemployment as thousands of citizens currently working at the Ministry of Transport in the same capacity will become jobless.
If the public fails to demand that the government immediately terminate the LTM contract, it will automatically become Boakai’s family and Gregory’s fallback position and reserve source of income after power.
Moreover, the contract will place the Transport Ministry into complete silence, as a significant portion of its functions will be transferred to LTM
This proposal may lead to the eradication of the Transport Ministry among government agencies, which the cartel is fighting to achieve in an effort to privatize the whole government Ministry.
For the past years, MoT has been contributing approximately $9.1M to the national budget annually, while it’s reported that only $1.5M LTM will be contributing annually to the budget.
Amidst the huge differences in terms of revenue collection, Boakai and Coleman are compromising the state’s interest, making the citizens jobless for their own aggrandizement
