Casket Parade Reciprocation

CDC mourns three, more under critical condition

The most criticized  casket Parade of the  Coalition for Democratic Change (CDC) has brought back sorrow to the party  as three of their members died in a terrible  motor accident  along Kakata Gbanga highway  last Tuesday.

The terrible accident occurred  while some of their partisans under the banner  “Girls for Weah” were on a  campaign trip outside  the capital,  Monrovia leaving at least three dead and several injured who are said to be under a critical condition.

As a result, President  Weah suspended his campaign tour for two days to mourn the death of three ardent supporters of the party.

President Weah extended sympathy to their families for their loss and rallied supporters at their Congo Town headquarters on Wednesday August 23, 2023 to mourn their loss.

Even though faking the death of living human beings for political gain is uncommon,  Weah supporters  paraded with a casket  bearing the photos of the mainstream opposition political leader, Joseph Nyuma Boakai  at the beginning of the 2023 presidential and legislative  elections campaign.

Their parade started from the principal streets of Monrovia straight to their party headquarters.

According to them, they were mourning the unity partisans  for  the loss of their political leader.

In response,  Boakai  and  several stakeholders  condemned the act while he referred to it as carrying their own casket in the name of his.
