In less than a Month after Justice  Minister, Frank Musa Dean told the Legislature  that the Prisoners  live on an unbalanced diet, the Indian  Business Chamber IBC  has   donated  several  nourishing food  items  to the Justice  Ministry   in order to rescue  the starving  prisoners  across  the Country.

Over the weekend,   the Indian  Business Chamber in Liberia through  their founding Chairman,  Upjit Singh Sachdeva  commonly known as Jeety  presented  200 bags of rice, 50 bags of beans, 15 jerry cans of red palm oil, ten bags of salt  ten cartons of vibe cubes and one bucket of chlorine   to Justice Minister  Dean and the authorities of the Monrovia  Central Prison.

Speakingย  on behalf of the Chamber, ย  Jeety said thatย  their gestureย  is basedย  on an alarming food shortage at the Monrovia central prison a few days ago by the Justiceย  Minister.ย

He calls on others to support and buttress  the effort of the government in whatever way  so the inmates can have nourishing  meals.

Jeety  urges Minister Dean to  share at least one third of the items  with Kakata prison  and said they have received  a request from them for assistance.

“Give  to inspire  instead of giving to get something in return”,  Jeety asserted.

In response,  Justice Minister,  Frank Musa Dean hails the Indian Business Chamber   for rescuing  their Inmates,  and assured them that their gesture  will be distributed  to some of their 16 prisons they control across the Country  including  Magibi  Prison facility.

Minister  Dean noted that the Indian Business Chamber  remains  their  reliable Partners and friends  as they  are often  identifying with them.

He  calls on other  businesses  to follow the Indian  Business  Chamber’s kind gesture to support  their Citizens who have come in conflict with the law while  serving  their prison  term.

“While incarcerated and serving  their prison  term,  they are entitled  with certain  basic  facilities including  feedings among others”, the Liberian Justice Minister Frank Musa Dean   acknowledged.
