Boakai Survives Terroristic   Attack

A video circulating on social media shows that an unknown  person managed to breach the president’s security protocol  and physically attacked president  Joseph  Nyumah Boakai,  but survived the attack. 

In the video, the individual moved through the crowd, and grabbed the  president at the left side of his chest in the presence of his body’s guards.

The incident occurred  following the  arrival of President Boakai in Dormah town for the 19th Graduation exercise of the United Methodist University (UMU), on Wednesday January 30, 2024 where I an intruder (in a white shirt) who broke in from the back and almost threw the President down while he was greeting the administrative staff of UMU.

Following  the attack, the public has raised a serious concern  on the president’s safety,  calling on  the   authorities to investigate  and  tell the public  the cause of the attack. 

However,  the office of the president  and the security apparatus are yet  to inform  the public  of what led to the attack on the president  and their reactions to the attacker.

The attack  is the first  of its kind  on President  Boakai  since  he took office about a  week ago.
