The Director General of the National Fisheries and Aquaculture Authority (NaFAA), Madam Emma Metieh Glassco is leading a high -power delegation of fisheries officials and technicians on a tour of four coastal counties in the Southeastern part of the Country.
The counties are Maryland, Grand Kru, Sinoe and River Cess.
The intend of the coastal counties tour is to afford authorities the opportunity to meet and identify with fishermen and fishmongers.
Madam Glassco and team are also expected to hold face-to-face discussions with different fisheries cooperatives in an attempt to assess their operations.
The delegation will also inspect land acquired by NaFAA through the Liberia Sustainable Management of Fisheries Project for the construction of fisheries landing sites for artisanal fishermen in Maryland, Sinoe, and Grand Kru.
