Over 70 Chiefs and multiple elders in Todee and Deh Gola Chiefdoms in rural  Montserrado last Saturday declared unwavering support for the reelection of President George M. Weah

In an extraordinary display of unity and support, the  Chiefs and Elders committed to actively campaign for the reelection  of President George M. Weah in the upcoming October 10, 2023 elections.

Gathering in the heart of Todee Statutory district in  Zannah Town, Kpor Clan, the traditional  voluntarily   shared their compelling reasons for endorsing President Weah’s 2nd term  candidacy. They cited his track record as a dynamic and resolved  oriented leader who has brought about many tangible improvements  throughout Liberia.

Some of the remarkable achievements highlighted by the Chiefs include  the mass pavement and rehabilitation of roads,  tuition waivers to all public schools , colleges and the University of Liberia,  payment of WEAC fees for all  12th graders preparing for their national exams, overall economic improvements, maintaining the peace and promotion of democracy, amongst others. The chiefs asserted that these  accomplishments are  testament to President Weah’s unwavering dedication to enhancing the lives of the rural and urban dwellers in the country.

The  chiefs. Elders and other traditional leaders who converged from seven clans in rural Montserrado included  Paramount Chiefs Steven Gobah and Tony Kadakai  and several Township Commissioners ,  District superintendents and City mayors in Rural Montserrado inhabiting significant parts of electoral Districts number one, six and seventeen of  Montserrado County 

Addressing the large body of traditional leaders , CDC Governing Council member and senior advisor to the CDC National Campaign Committee , Cllr. Charles H. Gibson,  who is all Minister of Labour,  expressed deep appreciation for the  remarkable show of support and commitment by the Chiefs and Elders for recognizing the President’s visionary leadership. He emphasized the President’s commitment to the education of their children and improved living conditions for all Liberians through  continuing works, farms-to-market roads, the construction of additional schools and hospitals, job creation and creating an economic environment that gives Liberians opportunities to do their own businesses. 

Cllr. Gibson noted that the extraordinary endorsement by the  Chiefs and Elders towns and villages in rural montserrado underscores the widespread belief in President George M. Weah’s leadership and his unwavering commitment to the betterment of Liberia. 

He said that as election day approaches, the chiefs  voluntary dedication to campaigning actively for President Weah reelection demonstrates the profound impact of the first term   and urged them to  continue to inspire others   with information about President Weah’s developmental agenda for the Liberian people.
