Mainstream opposition Unity Party UP has hatched a plot by the ruling Coalition for Democratic Change to destabilize the naming ceremony of the opposition Unity Party political Leader, Amb. Joseph Boakai running mate by arresting the former Chief Justice Cllr. Glorious Musu Scott and planing scammers among them, but vow to resist the plan in any form and manner.
“We got intelligence due to the huge momentum and publicity on Amb. Boakai running mate selection, the government wants to arrest Cllr. Glorious Musu Scott to undermine the process. They will arrest all of us if they want to arrest Cllr. Scott.
Even though the Justice Minister disclosed no evidence to implicate Cllr. Scott but the government wants to politicize the case by denying l her justice”, Unity Party Secretary General Amos Tweh notified.
Mr. Tweh noted that any attempt by the government to arrest Cllr. Glorious Musu Scott will be resisted to the fullest and her constitution right will be defended
According to him, the naming of Boakai running mate is a historic event as the process has become the most talked about political discourse that is creating fear in the ruling establishment of losing October elections.
He also said they have formally informed the Ministry of Justice to provide them security for the Friday April 28 event where their political leader, Joseph Boakai will be announcing his running vice president to the Liberians .
