The Controversial  Diamond Owners Call For Minister Swen Dismissal

The family of Mohammed Kamara Jr. Commonly known as Junior Who found the 53.38 carats diamond in Gbapolu  County are demanding their diamond and calling on President Weah to dismiss  the Minister of Mines,Emmanuel Swen at the Mines and Energy Ministry for misleading the public with false information  over the diamond saga.

“Minister stole  our diamond,  he turned the diamond over to  one broker  “Kpaku”  and refused to give our diamond to us.

We will protest until we can get our diamond”, the official spokesperson of Junior  who found the diamond, Bill Lama  asserted. 

Bill is however calling on international partners,  civil society organizations and religious leaders  to join them in the fight to reclaim their  diamond  from Minister  Swen.

Also speaking  with Journalists,   Junior   said he was held under hostage for over a month  by a broker only know  as Kpaku  and deny him the right to speak with his family.

” They gave me US$88,000 as bonus for my 53.38 carats diamond, but the Minister is saying now I have no diamond and no case.

“I need my diamond so we can have the  real way of selling the diamond , we can’t sell diamonds without miners and the government”,  Junior  explainedin tears.
