Social Workers  Inducts  new Leadership

The National Association of Social  Workers NASWOL   Inducts  new scope of Leadership  to stir  the day to day  Affairs of their organization .

On Friday December  16, 2022  NASWOL  inducted  Mr. Joseph  W. Geebro as their President, Mrs. Winifred G.B Sipor as Vice president, Mr. Charrlton Fallah as Secretary General and Mr. Alieu Kromah as Financial Secretary  at the Williams  V.S Tubman  school  at 12 street Sinkor.

Serving as  guest speaker  of their  induction Ceremony, Mr.Hashmi M. Pusah, BSW MA Ed. : Co- Chairman National Social characterized the event as historical turning point in the history of National Association of Social Worker of Liberia as they  embark on a peaceful and democratic transition of leadership 

He called for empowerment  and  changing  of  situation and said if  Social workers cannot or are not

capable of changing their situation, how then will they be able to change their client’s situations. 

According to him, it’s their hope  that one day the Social workers  will have a license  to  add more value  in order to avoid intruders moving around  under their noble umbrella  in the name of Social  workers. 

He however  called on the Government  of Liberia  with her International partners  to provide more budgetary support  to enable  the Social  workers  of Liberia  to reach  every  corner of the Country  and provide their services to the neediest. 

The National Association of Social Workers of Liberia  NASWOL was founded  in February 2004 with their primary mission  to promote the Social Workers profession while their intention is to enhance human wellbeing through collaboration with the government, other partners to develop a social welfare agenda and Social services delivery system  among others.
