The President of the Scrap Dealers Association of Liberia, Mr. Ayouba Kamara highlights their multiple successes over the years but said, the National Security intimidation has remained the greatest challenge facing his members.
Among many other achievements, Mr. Kamara said the Scraps Association has been able to reach the length and breadth of the Country to secure every Liberian scraps to be procured through the legal process.
Mr. Kamara hails the Sethi Fara Company which is involved into the production of steels, for collaborating with their Scraps Union over the time than it was before.
According to him , The Sethi Fara Company has provided them with logistics including: ten motorbikes with two vehicles to enable them to connect, regulate and inspect their activities across the Country.
However, he accused the Liberia Drug Enforcement Agency LDEA and the Executive Protection Service Agents, Units 704 and 54 respectively for carrying out arm robberies over some of their members in Monrovia and took away about UD$3000 worth of goods including cash from their sale point.
Kamara is calling on the Government and the International Community to investigate the involvement of the National Security act against his members and give just to whom it belongs .
