Robert Kpadeh Achieves Yet Another Academic Milestone: Awarded at the Esteemed York University Law School, United Kingdom
Robert Kpadeh, as he is affectionately known by the entire nation, stands as one of Liberia’s most outstanding citizens. Renowned for his sage wisdom, scholarly prowess, and esteemed academic achievements as he has consistently elevated Liberia’s reputation on the global stage. Over the past fifteen years, Kpadeh has dedicated himself to scholarship lecturing, imparting knowledge as a lecturer at the University of Liberia (UL) and various private institutions across Liberia. As a venerated Liberian author and revolutionary poet, he shares his expertise in Political Science, International Relations, and Public Policy.
In 2022, Kpadeh was granted admission to the prestigious York Law School after undergoing rigorous examinations assessing his IQ and analytical abilities. Pursuing a program in International Human Rights Law (IHRL), he commenced his studies with determination and drive. At York Law School, Kpadeh showcased his exceptional legal acumen, outperforming peers who were seasoned lawyers before enrolling in the LLM program. Notably, in Moot court competitions, he excelled, drafting impeccable legal briefs and leading arguments as the lead counsel for his team. Professor Dr. Mattia, who supervised the moot program, lauded Kpadeh as an erudite defense counsel with the charisma and skill to captivate any judge.
Kpadeh’s academic excellence was further evidenced by his outstanding performance in key modules such as International Human Rights Law, International Criminal Law, and International Humanitarian Law. Graduating with Higher Merits (Hons), he achieved remarkable results, falling just two points short of distinction. Additionally, Kpadeh was entrusted with a significant U.N. placement under the supervision of Dr. Tomoya Obokata, the U.N. Rapporteur for International Human Rights. Leading a team of five students, he contributed to a pivotal investigation on “The Use of Technology in Facilitating and Preventing Contemporary Forms of Slavery or Human Trafficking.” Through meticulous research and dedication, Kpadeh and his team produced a comprehensive report that informed the Rapporteur’s final submission to the U.N. General Assembly. This impactful work earned commendation from the U.N. Secretary-General, who praised Kpadeh and his colleagues for their invaluable contribution to the fight against human trafficking.
