Bong County District #6 Lawmaker,Moima Briggs – Mensah has questioned the decency of the controversial Montserrado County District#10 Lawmaker, Yekeh Kolubah, saying his utterance and dress code are not in line with their code of conduct.
She expressed disappointment and dissatisfaction in Yekeh for using the Totota Tanker Explosion situation as business as usual, making inflammatory comments to gain public attention.
Speaking at the media conference, on Thursday, January 11, she warned Yekeh to stop using the Totota crisis to gain media and public attention, or we meet a resistance he never dreamed of.
“Yekeh went to Totata and his personal security flogged and injured one of my prominent citizens for no cause. I calmed the situation, he promised to take the responsibility but has yet failed, but having a press conference questioned the source of income given by the President elect, Joseph Nyumah Boakai to sympathize with those who lost their lives and save others lives.
Briggs used the occasion to appreciate everyone who contributed in the Totota crisis to save life, hailing President elect, Joseph Nyumah Boakai for being the first person to lay flowers on the mass grave of those who died in the Totota tanker explosion.
It can be recalled that in Yekeh’s recent press conference, he accused President elect, Boakai of corruption, demanding him to tell the Liberians how he got the LD 10M$ with about 200 bags of rice to offer to Totota during his visit.
Yekeh claimed that Boakai was living on loan who never had a dime to give out, but now parading with a huge offer before his inauguration.
However, he gives an ultimatum to Boakai to reveal the source of the income or will publicly expose him.
