The unconfirmed information reaching the Afric Daily Newspaper says, the entire Insurance companies in Liberia have refused to sign a bond on behalf of the controversial social media talk show host and self-proclaimed prophet, Nayabouqua Oldpa Yeazeahn, widely known as Prophet Key in order to prevent him going to prison.
Key, who was sued by the Liberian Culture Ambassador, Queen Juli Endee for defamation of characters among others charges while in exile Morocco, was immediately forwarded to court a day upon his return in Liberia.
However, Key has characterized the alleged refusal of the insurance companies to secure him a bond while going through the case, as a political motivation formulated by the former ruling Coalition for Democratic Change (CDC) to intimidate him
Meanwhile, he blamed the current Unity Party (UP) government for abandoning him since he entered the country.
“My own government I fought to bring in power, sponsor them financially, morally and socially, no one in the government has ever called me since I entered the country.
“While I am going through the case, I am spending my own money. I called Joseph Nyumah Boakai Jr.( Jojo )when they came to arrest me,he promised to call back, but since then he hasn’t called but I am not moved with that ,” he added.
Prophet Key disclosed that any attempt to take him to prison Today, the country will meet a resistance as there will be a continued protest in the streets of Monrovia and across the country.
During his second appearance at the Monrovia City Court on the ground of Temple of Justice on Monday February 19,2024, Prophet Key was restricted from leaving Liberia until legal servitude surrounding him is addressed amicably, following the Court decision to grant prosecution request to place traveling restriction on him.
The notification of Prophet Key traveling restriction was made by Prosecuting Lawyers, representing Amb. Julia Endee, when the social media talk show host appeared at the Monrovia City Court on Monday, February 19.
The prosecution reminded the court that Prophet Key should bring before the court’s jurisdiction his traveling document, while the trial is ongoing.
They had earlier prayed the court to issue a Writ of Ne Exeat Republica, to prevent Defendant Yeazeah from leaving the country, which the court has agreed to grant.
Prophet Key had earlier filed a Reconnaissance Bond at the Monrovia City Court when he was arrested and brought before its jurisdiction based on a writ filed against him, by Culture Amb. Juli Endee.
