I wish to present my compliments and herewith inform you about serious life threats, and attempted Murder to my person by unknown people in Pleebo City, Maryland County, Republic of Liberia.
On the 19th day of December A D. 2023, at about 8:00 pm. I noticed three (3) people on a Single motor bike that passed me by and stop at an intersection near my residence, adjacent the Robert Ogunti Hotel. Owing to the fact that I was walking with two other neighbors, the unknown persons did Not physically attack me but made threats and indicated that they have seen my residence and that they Will do all they can to kill me or will do me harm spiritually. That night, I was constrained to sleep with my friend out of my home. On the second occasion, when I arrived home from the court on the 21st day of December A. D. 2023, the children in the neighborhood, opposite the compound I live in, informed me that two (2) men had gone to the compound requesting them to identify the exact window or apartment in which I live. The kids refused and informed me. On the third (3) occasion, leaflets were dropped at the magisterial court in Pleebo City and also at the gate of the compound in which I live with the same threats of killing me or doing harm to me by all means.
On all three (3) occasions, I informed the following authorities: His Honour Nelson Tokpa. Resident Circuit Judge, 4th Judicial Circuit, Cllr. Philip Weahgar, County Attorney, Maryland County and His Honour Othello T. Dennis, Stipendiary Magistrate, Pleebo Magisterial Court. These authorities advised that I inform the Liberian National Police for safety issues and security. In response to the information I provided to the Police, the police requested that I leave Pleebo City. The rationale for the Police request was based on the fact that the police have no capacity and logistics to detect any perpetrator planning such evil.
In lieu of this, I departed Pleebo City on the night of December 30, 2023 on a bike that dropped me to Zwedru, Grand Gedeh County. I am currently in Monrovia.
