The Chairman of the ruling Coalition for Democratic Change (CDC), Mr. Mulbah K. Morlu, has provided a clarification that Mr. Jeremiah Solunteh is not the party’s national campaign chairman, but rather the campaign chairman for Bong County.
His clarification comes shortly after pronouncing Mr. Solunteh, a former strong member of the opposition Alternative National Congress (ANC) who ran as a vice running mate to Alexander Cummings in the 2017 presidential and legislative elections.
Even though several media outlets have reported Morlu pronouncement , appointing Mr. Solunteh as the National Campaign Chairman of CDC, Chairman Morlu acknowledged an oversight on his part for mistakenly announcing Mr. Solunteh as the national campaign chairman during the party’s recent media conference at their Congo Town headquarters.
