The President of the Liberia Gold and Diamond Association, Mr. Falla B. Kamara has Countered the investigative findings by Assistant Minister for Mines at Mines and Energy, Ministry, Emmanuel T.T. Swen on the conflicting 55.34 carat Diamond . He said Minister Swen decision is a fake propaganda meant to protect his job.
In less that an hour after Minister Swen reported that the Diamond in question belong to claims #12 owner instead of Ma. Fatu who is claiming the Diamond to have been found in her #9 Claim, Smith Town Gbarpolu County. Mr. Kamara characterized the report as false, misleading and fake propaganda that has a recipe for chaos.
According to the Minister ‘s report, his investigation proved that there was no sufficient evidence to show the 53.34 carat Diamond was found in Ma. Fatu Claim
Speaking with Journalists over the weekend in Monrovia, Kamara accused Minister Swen of manipulating the investigation and siding with his Criminal cartel to deny the 74 year old Ma. Fatu her right to the 53.34 carat Diamond found in a claim license by her.
“In front the Minister, Mohammed Kamara aka Junior who found the Diamond confessed that he works in Claim #9 and there where he found the Diamond.
His pot , clothes and tent on Claim #9 and many evidence prove beyond reasonable doubt that he was a claim #9 worker.
As a President of the Gold and Diamond Association of Liberia, I have no side and will not cope with any wrong decision to hinder the rightful people what belong to them. All I want is to see Ma Fatu who is the right owner of the Claim the Diamond was found in, the Miner Junior, his supporters and the government percentage to be shared transparently,” Kamara noted.
At the same time, the President of the Liberian Gold and Diamond Association, Mr. Kamara urged Swen to avoid meddling with the investigation or risk the Country being sanctioned by the International kimberlin Process.
Going further, Kamara stated that the Diamond in question was previously given a voucher by the Mines and Energy Ministry showing that the Diamond belonged to claims #9 owner, Ma. Fatu.
“What they want to prove, stealing or what? after we all conducted an investigated and concluded that the Diamond was found in Ma. Fatu claims, then they coming last minute to time to tell us again the Diamond was in different person Claim?
It’s a false, misleading and fake propaganda to accomplish their evil mission and we will not allow it to happen”, Kamara asserted.
