LPRC MD Declares Zero Tolerance on Theft, Corruption

In line with President Joseph Nyuma Boakai’s steadfast commitment to
combating corruption and advancing Liberia’s progress, the Liberia Petroleum
Refinery Company (LPRC) welcomed its newly appointed Managing
Director, Amos Tweh, with resounding applause and high hopes for a
transformative era.
Addressing the entire LPRC workforce, Tweh wasted no time in reaffirming the
company’s zero-tolerance stance against corruption and theft. 
“At LPRC, we are reaffirming our position and our zero tolerance for corruption
and theft,” he declared, emphasizing the imperative of ethical conduct and
accountability among employees.

In a firm tone, Tweh made it clear that any employee found engaging in activities
detrimental to the company’s operations would face immediate termination,
without the luxury of a warning letter. 
He underscored the importance of collective responsibility in fostering the growth
and integrity of the institution.
Acknowledging the invaluable contribution of LPRC employees, Tweh
emphasized their pivotal role in implementing President Boakai’s vision and
vowed to work tirelessly alongside them to enhance the company’s productivity
and efficiency.
Recognizing the significance of teamwork and professionalism, Tweh expressed
his gratitude to President Boakai for entrusting him with the responsibility of
leading LPRC. He stressed the need for concerted efforts to elevate the
company to new heights within Liberia’s oil industry.
With a clear sense of purpose, the new LPRC MD outlined his plans to review
and refine the company’s strategy, ensuring alignment with its overarching
goals. 
He emphasized the importance of inclusivity, pledging to incorporate the insights
of every employee, from managers to sweepers, in shaping the future direction of
LPRC.
Under Tweh’s leadership, punctuality emerged as a non-negotiable aspect of
fostering a culture of productivity and excellence within the company. 
He emphasized the significance of every employee understanding their role and
responsibilities, both in the short term and the long term, as outlined in the
forthcoming strategy plans.
The appointment of Amos B. Tweh symbolized a new chapter in LPRC’s journey,
marked by unwavering commitment to integrity, transparency, and progress. 
As he embarked on this pivotal role, supported by the dedication of LPRC’s
workforce, Liberia’s petroleum industry stood poised for transformation and
advancement under his visionary leadership. Tweh took over from Madam Marie
Urey-Coleman as MD of LPRC.
