The international organizations, the government of Liberia and the members of the Rwandan community in Liberia lightup candles to commemorate the 29 years of the 1994 Rwandan genocide.
On Monday April 24, the United National Resident Coordinator UNRC, Ms. Christine Umutoni join several foreign Diplomats alongside Liberia Justice Minister, Frank Musa Dean at the Monrovia City Hall with the lighting of several candles to remember the million of innocence lives lost during the 1994 genocide in Rwanda.

Ms. Christine Umutoni called for collaborative effort to prevent any reoccurrence of genocide, crimes against humanity, war crimes and take responsibility to maintain safety society.
Also, the Swedish Ambassador to Liberia, Amb. Urban Sjostrom noted that peace is a very foundation for human rights development.
He maintains that peace teaches how to be good and how to take up challenges and give access to justice “as it’s also important to celebrate 20 years of stable peace in Liberia”.
Meanwhile, the Justice Minister, Cllr. Frank Musa Dean calls on every Liberia to treat each other with equal value irrespective of tribes, religious, political or economical status.

Rwanda Genocide would have been avoided if Rwandan were going to see Rwanda behind tribe”, Liberia Justice Minister Frank Musa Dean explained.
Minister Dean called for a collaborative effort to build up a society that quarantines security and justice for all.
