Koijee’s  Sanction Fears Gray, Recalibrates On His Violence Action

A self proclaim general of the outgoing  Coalition for Democratic Change (CDC) administration  who led thugs at the state own University, “University of Liberia (UL”) main campus ,  Moses Acarous Gray has withdrawn from his   plan to mobilizing  several  protests  in the incoming  Joseph Boakai’s  Unity Party administration, after United States Government nailed his counterpart, Jefferson Koijee with several sanctions.

Gray who serves as Lawmaker of Montserrado  District #8 for two terms, recently  took over several  media outlets  to welcome   Boakai’s  regime  with protest  actions after he lost to Unity party Candidate  Prince Toles ,  followed   by Weah’s  defeat  by Joseph Nyumah Boakai.

Even though  CDC failed  most of their manifestos   while in power,  including  the establishment of war crimes court,  Gray  started  agitating  for  the establishment of the court under Boakai’s  regime as a means of regaining his failed political popularity.

Barely few days after the party’s National Secretary General Jefferson Koijee was sanctioned by the United States government for alleged human rights abuses and massive  corruption, the ruling Coalition for Democratic Change (CDC) of outgoing Liberian President George Manneh Weah appears to be divided over an inauguration day protest pronounced by its Exclusives.

Prior to his decline,  the CDC Executives  through their  youth league Chair, Emmanuel Johnson openly disclosed that Boakai will never be president  for their  partisans  which  Gray was in support of.

During the press conference,  Johnson, who spoke on behalf  of CDC executives, unveiled  a plan to disrupt  Boakai’s  regime  beginning on the inauguration  day Jan 22, 2024 through protest action.

At the same time,  Johnson  accused Boakai of stealing  the election  making them to become a one term regime and vowed not to recognize  his presidency when inaugurated.

But after the U.S government  designated  the Party Secretary General Jefferson Koijee who also serves as Monrovia City Mayor last Friday,   their plans have taken a dramatic  trend,  greeted with mixed reactions from scores of executives and supporters of the  outgoing CDC administration.

Speaking over the  weekend,  the defeated  Montserrado District #8 Lawmaker, a self proclaimed  general,  Acarous Moses Gray  disclosed that the ruling party does not intend to cause chaos on the day of turning over power to the newly elected UP  administration.

He stressed the need for executives and members of the Youth League of the CDC to avoid going contrary or deviating from the laws of the country by taking any actions that would turn chaotic.

“We will protect the peace and democracy of Liberia. We have no intention to cause chaos in this country. We will not support chaos against the administration that is coming in.” he emphasized

Gray  maintained that he will continue to speak to issues of national concern but will respect the organic laws of the country instead of forming part of any action from his party that would cause chaos or instability in Liberia.

He added that nothing outside of the laws of Liberia would be used to undermine the incoming Joseph Boakai led-government even though  he will respectfully and professionally   disagree  with him if necessary.
