JPTT Commits To Collaborative Transition

The Liberia  Foreign Minister who is serving as a head for the government  Joint Presidential Transition Team (JPTT), Amb. Maxwell Saah Kemayah  has acknowledged the request  made by the incoming  Boakai’s  government  team to use the Capitol  Building  as a  destination  for the inauguration and promised to launch  a JPTT cleaner campaign  to accelerate  the ongoing inaugural  cleanup exercises. 

During their  second  JPTT meeting,  head  at the C. Cecil Dennis auditorium, Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Thursday  December  14, Kemayah  assured the  Secretariat of the Joint Presidential Transition Team that President  George Weah decisions   towards  the JPTT are  irreversible and irrevocable. 

“God has blessed Liberia with leaders  that have Wisdom compatriots with love for their country, and Liberian  remains  the biggest  winning  party at all times,” he noted.

Kemayah  applauded  the Secretariat of the team for their level of commitments  and contributions  toward  the process.

On the part of Atty. Samuel Kofi Woods, he noted that President-elect Joe Boakai is delights about the team set up and that the team itself doesn’t see the need of taking compensation as recommended by the outgoing team

He said, they have sent a communication to President Weah which outlines numbers of things that are in good faith for a smooth transition. 

The JPTT Steering committee meeting was focused on matters relating to planning and execution of activities leading to the 2024 inauguration and the operationalization of the cluster working group, a team of subject matter practitioners from the incoming government responsible to interact with various  agencies of government.
